Arve Henriksen is a classically trained musician whose airy, Japanese-influenced trumpet playing has literally set him in a league of his have. He was born in Stranda, Norway, and educated at the Trondheim Conservatory. It was during his time at the hothouse that a ally gave Henriksen a tape measure recording of the shakuhachi flute. Henriksen was aquiline. "I rent the music 'ring' and uprise in my fountainhead," he aforesaid. "I was astounded by the heavy of this transverse flute." His interestingness in minimalist Japanese music went on to consume a profound effect on his trumpet playing and his medical specialty life history. Henriksen went on to collaborate with numerous musicians on van, minimalist, and Eastern-influenced music, working with artists such as Anders Jormin, Edward Vesala, and the Source, earlier hit extinct on his have with 2001's Sakuteiki. He is as well the trumpter of the improvisational jazz terror stem Supersilent. Several more albums followed over the long time, including 2004's critically acclaimed Chiaroscuro and 2007's Strjon.
