ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., May 20 -- Let us entertain you this
summer. From arena legends to rising stars, Atlantic City has the hottest
concerts in one of the leading destinations in the country. More than 60 of
today's hottest stars will perform in Atlantic City's acclaimed concert
venues this summer. For a complete calendar of events in "Always Turned On"

Atlantic City's historic Boardwalk Hall, which was the top grossing
mid-sized arena in North America for 2007 (the third consecutive year) and
third in the World according to Billboard and Venues Today magazines, will
welcome some of the most sought after musicians currently touring
throughout the summer.
"This summer's entertainment line-up in Atlantic City is like nothing
we or the East Coast has ever seen before," said Jeffrey Vasser, executive
director of the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority. "To have
more than 60 major concerts in a four month period, in addition to the
boxing, revues and other events, is a testament to how much Atlantic City
has grown as a destination -- we are the hot ticket."
Only five months into the calendar year, Boardwalk Hall has already
seen some of the biggest names in music: Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, Keith
Urban, Carrie Underwood, Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige. And, this summer is
stacking up to leave visitors seeing stars: Van Halen, Andre Rieu and
Johann Strauss, Lil' Wayne and Birdman, Elton John, American Idols Live!
The Tour 2008, Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band and Celine Dion,
just to name a few.
Atlantic City is the only destination on the East Coast and one of few
in the country that will see this volume of entertainment during the
summer. In addition to Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City has 11 other concert
venues that also have an impressive and packed schedule of entertainment.
From newcomers like Paramore and Plain White T's to established legends
such as Boston, Chicago and Ringo Starr to the most popular headliners like
Eric Clapton and Alicia Keys, Atlantic City is turned on to the biggest
names, brightest stars and hottest shows.
"Over the next few months we have booked an incredible mix of
entertainment," said Greg Tesone, General Manager of Boardwalk Hall. "From
a middleweight boxing championship to American Idols Live to classic rock
and roll acts Elton John and Jimmy Buffett, this summer we have something
for everyone."
